Armed Assault Servers
The campaign in Armed Assault takes place on the fictional Atlantic island of Sahrani, a nation which is divided into a northern communist regime (called Democratic Republic of Sahrani - DRS) and an oil rich southern democracy called Kingdom of South Sahrani. The narrative begins with United States forces, after a few months of training in the south, leaving the island. The northern leader uses this moment of weakness to attack the rest of the south. The player takes on the role of one soldier in one of the platoons not rotated off the island before the conflict began.
The platoons aid the Royal Army Corps of Sahrani (RACS) in fending off the more powerful neighbour's offensive being spearheaded by the Sahrani Liberation Army (SLA).

ARMA 2 is a tactical shooter with significant vehicle and aircraft elements.
The player is able to command AI squad members which adds a real-time tactics element to the game.
This is further enhanced by introduction of the high command system, which allows the player to command multiple squads using the map.
ARMA 2 is set primarily in the fictional Eastern European nation of Chernarus, (meaning "Black Rus’").
The Chernarus landscape is based heavily on the Czech Republic, the home country of the developer.
The original Operation Flashpoint (OFP) was developed by Bohemia Interactive Studios (who own the Real Virtuality engine) and published by Codemasters (who own the Operation Flashpoint brand).
ArmA and ARMA 2 are the technological successors to OFP.

Three years after the conflict in Chernarus, portrayed in the original Arma 2, a new flashpoint in the Green Sea region heats up and coalition forces led by the US Army are sent to Takistan to quickly restore peace and prevent further civilian casualties in this standalone expansion pack to the best military simulator of 2009 – Arma 2.
Players will enlist into various roles within the US Army - basic infantryman through to special operatives; combat pilots to heavy armor
supported by cutting-edge military equipment, such as thermal imaging, remotely-controlled UAVs and the very latest weapons and vehicles.
