Since the patch, I'm not able to find the binaries/pb folder.  I know we're not supposed to edit the files, but I can't even enable pb at the moment, even via the game console admin commands.

Can you fill us in with the current status since the patch?

Every server we ran PB on crashed at some point and continued to build over 500mb of server logs within a hour. So we removed the PB folder until we or evenbalance can fix the problem. We decided it was better to keep your server running since your paying for a game which technically should work but it does not.

I can confirm also. Proclanhosting has Punkbuster running fine on our server. I was also able to start streaming from PBBans.com too. Server crashes are less frequent now, I have noticed.

Any plans to put the PB folder back for us?
I suppose without access to the files we'll have to use admin commands in game to manage pb?
I'd also like to edit the server rules.

BTW - thanks for the long hours on the holiday weekend.

No problem what server is yours? once pb is set up you can edit the editable files using the file manager. here is a screen shot of whats going on with pb. My client version is up to date but the server was not. This was a fresh installed server so pb was not updated. Once a person joins the server version will update itself but after that if a player joins with an older version he will not be able to join.

Mine is [RS] Rogue Saints 206.212.241.90.  Last night I tried using the console commands to enable and update PB, but the logs show that it's still disabled.  My AA3Game.ini has benablepunkbuster=true and I can't find anywhere in the new DefaultGame.ini to set that.  What else should I try?

Thanks!  Can you tell me what I was doing wrong - I don't want to have to keep bugging you for something I should be able to do myself.

There should be a file in the pb folder named pbsvgame.cfg.  This file should contain the following line to enable Punkbuster:

Quote
sv_punkbuster 1

At least that has worked for me.
